Media release: ESHORE – to revolutionise safety for boating industry

MEDIA RELEASE : FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ESHORE – NEW PRODUCT TO REVOLUTIONISE SAFETY FOR BOATING INDUSTRY

BRISBANE, QLD. 4 MAY 2022: Local Brisbane man, Mark Smith, is set to rock the boat with an innovative new device called ESHORE – designed to improve safety for the maritime industry.

Over his 40 year career Mark, an accredited surveyor, has been on hundreds of boats. With his first-hand knowledge, backed by countless hours of research and reading standards and legislation, he found too many boat owners had shore connections that were not compliant with the standard AS/NZS 3004: 2014 Electrical installations – Marinas and Boats – Boats.

Seeing there was an urgent need for both a safe and compliant solution, Mark designed a compact system to ensure our boaties, and their passengers, could have peace of mind with a reliable and easy-to-install shore connection device called ESHORE.

“ESHORE combines everything you need to be safe and compliant in one neat package.” said Mark. “There’s a lot of misinformation out there on this. I wanted to design a solution that not only meets all legislative compliance and regulatory requirements but is also easy to connect and install. It’s plug and play – there’s no circuit design required.”

It will mean smooth sailing for boaties and commercial vessel owners who can better enjoy their time while on their boat, safe in the knowledge they are meeting compliance and regulation requirements.

Captain Scott Keane, Construction Manager at Southern Ocean Solutions international shipbuilders is a fan, “We like to use the ESHORE shore connection box. We find that it’s effective, safe, and the price is reasonable. It has everything that we need to do and it’s as simple as possible”.

Captain Peter Pope, a Surveyor for over 17 years from Maritime Solutions added that “ESHORE… is absolutely wonderful. It’ll solve a lot of problems. Very easy to use. This device will also prevent electrolysis of aluminium, steel and fibreglass penetrations.” Additionally and more importantly he added that “If the polarity is wrong, the device will lock out supply to the boat”.

ESHORE uses a unique and patented electrical design which will save boat owners money and time wasted with incorrect connections.

ESHORE will be officially launched to an expected crowd of 51,000 marine enthusiasts at Australia’s boating blockbuster, the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show from 19-22 May 2022.
